Mermay 2018

The first time I participated in Mermay was a huge game-changer for me. I tried experimenting with watercolours properly for the first time, as well as trying out different colour palettes.

The biggest shift in my art was that I started to think about the story of the illustration and trying to tell as much of it as I could. I also enjoyed making art in different styles - be it more cartoony or realistic.

It was a great month and something I always like to go back to. I would definitely recommend trying this out for anyone!
